NYSBA - Call To Action - Email, Call, Fax

“Regardless of an individual’s stance on vaccinations, this recommendation is unlawful, unprecedented, and should be rejected by the NYSBA’s governing body, the House of Delegates, when it is debated on June 13. Medical mandates are, at their core, violations of individual liberties and civil rights. With any medical procedure, where there is risk, there must be choice.”

The New York State Bar Association has released a report detailing the findings of its Health Law Section regarding COVID-19. this document recommends that “mandatory vaccinations for COVID-19 should be required in the United States as soon as it is available.” This report was presented to the NYSBA’s governing body, the House of Delegates, on June 13. At this meeting, they voted to delay their decision until their November meeting.

In response to this recommended mandate, please contact the following three individuals by phone, email, and/or fax. Their contact information is available below.

Henry M. Greenberg, Esq.

Hermes Fernandez, Esq.

Pamela McDevitt, Esq.

In your response, consider the following points:

  • A mandate this vast has not been proposed by any medical association to date, so it is disconcerting that a non-medical association would move to recommend this extreme course of action.

  • A mandate on this scale is without legal precedent.

  • This mandate is proposed in advance of successful vaccine testing and production.

  • Many of the proposed, fast-tracked COVID-19 vaccines are mRNA vaccines; we have no data on the long-term effects of this type of vaccine.

  • The NYSBA should consider the disproportionate adverse effect of this mandate on religious minority groups.

  • The NYSBA should recall that vaccine manufacturers are exempt from liability due to the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act. In the event of widespread adverse reactions, injured individuals will demand recourse.

  • Why has the NYSBA, a non-medical association, considered this unprecedented step when there are less restrictive alternatives available?

After you have contacted these three, peruse the list of the other House of Delegate members via the contact information spreadsheet available below. There are six primary points of contact (three of which are the individuals mentioned above). After, the past presidents are listed. These individuals were most vocal on June 13 about delaying the decision; please view the IGTV video available @ny_freedom_keepers to hear their statements. It would be worthwhile to contact these individuals as well.
