Why is this important?
Last year, Sb276 made it impossible for children of vaccine injury to attend district schools, leaving many families in our community who could not afford to homeschool, to turn to Charter Schools for support. Charter Schools have successfully closed achievement gaps and positively impacted the lives of various demographics, but especially those belonging to minority groups. Without the proper ADA (average daily attendance) funding charter schools should be receiving, Ab77 + Ab98 will withhold the needed funds to ensure they can support their teachers, students, and growth, ultimately resulting in inevitable closures.
